The most expensive property listed for sale on Lands of America recently was $4 million, although the median price for land for sale in Maine was $148,741. The average price of land advertised for sale in Maine was $246,154. Lands of America research shows that over half the land in the Pine Tree State is privately owned. Maine is a land of endless adventure, with craggy mountains and forests for hiking and hunting, over 6,000 lakes and ponds for fishing and boating, and miles of rocky coastline for exploration and saltwater fishing.
